Speaking at CCR London 2023

Julia Kendrick and friends at CCR London

Author: Julia Kendrick

Our industry is evolving at a rapid pace and every aesthetics business, brand or practitioner needs to keep up with the latest treatment and product trends. Events and conferences provide educational, networking and collaboration opportunities and help us all immerse ourselves in the exciting newness of the aesthetics industry and have fun at the same time! Following a busy summer of speaking engagements including the FACE Conference 2023 and Cutera University Clinical Forum (CUCF) 2023, I was thrilled to also present at CCR London in October.

What is CCR?

CCR unites the whole aesthetics community and is designed to help drive the success of practices and improve each aesthetic specialty. The two-day event is home to world-class educational programmes, unmissable networking opportunities and the industry’s most respected brands.

With education at the core, CCR has quickly become the UK’s leading educational event, delivering free CPD-certified conferences covering both surgical & non-surgical procedures, as well as addressing current topics throughout a business focused agenda.

In my opinion, CCR London is where the great and the good in aesthetics meet to share knowledge, unveil new innovations, network and collaborate. Once again, I was invited to present on the business track and speak on how to build an expert profile – more on this later. It was great to support our existing Kendrick PR clients, as well as catching up with colleagues and potential new clients. This year was the biggest CCR yet – I had an absolute blast and can’t wait for next year’s event!

My session on “Building An Expert Profile in Aesthetics & Consumer Press”

The business track or “In Practice Theatre” at CCR is the space for clinics to learn how to expand their business knowledge and discover ways they can set themselves apart from their competitors. Sessions here are led by entrepreneurs and established practitioners and this year’s business agenda was brimming with interesting topics. For my 30-minute session, I shared advice and guidance on building an expert profile in the aesthetics and consumer press – something that we specialise in for our Kendrick PR clients!

To an engaged audience over 200 clinic owners and practitioners, I discussed:

  • the key strategies for profile-building including my four-step profile “secret”,
  • building strategic partnerships,
  • building media relationship and becoming a go-to media expert
  • building an expert profile

Lots of practical “how to” tips were shared and I welcomed many audience questions throughout my presentation. I’m a huge advocate for profile building and strongly believe that this provides the key to success for many clinics, particularly those in over-saturated markets like London.

Thanks to all the CCR team and their sponsor Galderma for having me and to all those who attended my presentation, it was fantastic to see so many industry friends from all over the country.

AviClear is launching soon!

Innovations in technology and science are continuing to impress the market and drive growth in demand for effective products and services in the aesthetics sector, so whilst at CCR London I took the opportunity to see the first live UK presentation of AviClear presented by the incomparable Dr. Tapan Patel. The Kendrick PR team will be working with Cutera Europe to launch this innovative FDA-cleared acne treatment in the next few months, so watch this space!
