The brief: As a new clinic-only cosmeceutical brand, Skinbetter Science appointed Kendrick PR to successfully launch their presence in a highly crowded and competitive category. They needed a bespoke brand launch PR strategy to recruit key brand advocates, secure B2B press coverage, and boost clinic uptake of their innovative products. To also drive consumer awareness of their brand within clinics, SkinBetter were keen to leverage highly targeted celebrity and VIP activations.

Kendrick PR’s approach focused on establishing 3 KOL brand spokespeople to underpin their PR strategy before driving a targeted B2B and elite B2C launch event and press office campaign. Our team:

  • Secured red-carpet sponsorship of A-list celebrity Richard Madden at the Cannes Film Festival, who was prepped with the brand and has become an unpaid brand advocate in press thereafter, securing coverage in Vogue, Allure and Haute Living.
  • Secured x3 highly respected KOLs to act as brand ambassadors and support the PR programme – including Dr Benji Dhillon, Miss Sabrina Shah-Desai and Dr Sophie Shotter.
  • Delivered a highly-targeted sampling campaign among celebrities, VIPs and makeup artists to seed their product with high-profile faces.
  • Coordinated a successful press launch event at the Brasserie of Light – including a presentation of the brand science and immersion with KOLs, attended by over 20 trade press and aesthetic-leader consumer contacts
  • Total ‘on the day’ launch event social reach of over 30,651
  • Implemented a strong B2B and B2C press office to launch and profile the brand – including x25 targeted 1:1s with top-tier consumer press to profile the new ‘hero’ AlphaRet
