The role of PR & social media for aesthetic treatments
Julia Kendrick BSc mCIPR, Director, Kendrick PR
The aesthetics industry is more accessible, affordable, and profitable than ever. Recently, much of the industry growth has been driven by the “Millennial / Gen Z” patient category, with a reported 28% increase in under 30’s Botox®️ procedures and a 32% increase in filler treatments in this group. Worryingly, the rise in both social media use and aesthetic enhancement has come at the same time as a rise in mental health disorders, prompting speculation that the three may be interlinked. With more young people chasing an idealised image of themselves, this session outlines how to use PR and social media to ethically build your brand as a trusted, reputable practitioner in an age of ‘filtered’ beauty.
